Windover BOSTAL

£2,950.00
Size: Small
Groupset: Shimano GRX600 1x11
Gravel: on and off road all rounder

The Bostal is inspired by the riding we have locally: steep tarmac climbs, gravel tracks and muddy byways. You're never too far from civilisation in the South of England, so the bike must have good 'road manners' but at the same time, make the most of any opportunity to get away from traffic and enjoy the chalk downland we have here in Sussex.

We don't just ride locally, so the bike needed to handle long days out, on varied terrain. We tested the bike on wild gravel tracks in Wales, tweaking the design until a sweet spot was found that ensured maximum fun whatever the riding conditions.

The characteristics that make this bike so versatile, also make it perfectly suited to touring, and even endurance racing, as tried and tested by Chris in the Pan Celtic Race.

KEY FEATURES

INTERNAL ROUTING AND T47 BB

For a clean, minimal look, we have incorporated internal routing with replaceable plates to suit all 1x, 2x, Di2 and wireless groupsets.

Our T47 bottom bracket provides room for the cables to pass through to the stays, whilst retaining the benefits of a threaded system. The wider shell also helps us maximise tyre clearance for maximum fun!

RACK AND MUDGUARD MOUNTS

The Bostal includes rack and mudguard mounts for full versatility. Additionally, we have included bottle bosses on the underside of the down tube for additional carrying capacity.

We felt it was important to keep the bike as clean as possible, only adding features that have a clear function that most riders will use.

REYNOLDS 853 TUBING

We use the very highest quality Reynolds 853 DZB tubing to build the frame as light as possible. This also ensures the Bostal has that classic steel ride quality, compliant yet responsive.

Each frame is treated with a corrosion resistant coating, inside and out, ensuring durability for mile after mile in all conditions.

ULTRA TOUGH HIGH QUALITY POWDER COAT FINISH

Rather than the usual paint most brands use, we have chosen a high quality satin powder coat to provide a very beautiful but ultra durable coating. It's tougher than regular paint, and better for the environment too, completed here in the UK by an industry leading specialist.

Through our own extensive testing, the finish has proven to maintain its integrity despite the rough and tumble of ultra endurance racing, bike packing and gravel riding. We've kept the finish understated available in either blue or olive, complete with our stainless head badge.

TYPE 2 CARBON ADVENTURE FORK

Our carbon adventure fork has been chosen for its clean lines, functionality and ride quality. Built with Toray T700 carbon fibre, our Type 2 fork features mudguard and cargo mounts, alongside internal routing for brake and dynamo. You can also adjust the offset between 47 and 52mm, allowing you to fine tune the trail figure to match your riding style.

To ensure the durability of the fork matches the frame, we've had it independently tested to exceed the usual standards other brands build to. Though the fork is very lightweight, it's more than tough enough for loaded gravel riding.
